Weathering the Wicked (Chronicles of Folklaria Book 1) Kindle Edition
by C. Penticoff (Author), Melissa Fairhurst (Illustrator
Nine thousand years ago in Folklaria, a spiritual land filled with magic and wonder, a prophecy was set forth to restore peace after a gargantuan force took over with wicked energy. The Chronicles of Folklaria is the story of this prophecy playing out.
June’s reality had been flipped upside down. Her sister, January had vanished. But, she was not just gone...her entire existence had been put in the flames. No one had even a glimpse of a memory of January...except for June.
Frightened, confused, and feeling like her world had come crashing down on her all at once, June bolted from her house in a panic and stumbled upon a woman. Someone who knew exactly where her sister was and had been willing take her there: June never could have predicted that saving her sister would mean venturing off to an enchanted land. Magic? June could not wrap her mind around it, but she had no other choice. The one person who actually believed her and knew that she was not crazy was going to have to be the one person June put her trust in. A complete stranger.
Upon arriving to this enchanted and spiritually-enlightening land, June discovered that she was not who she thought she was. In fact, everything June has known about herself had been an illusion. A distraction from her true self. A diabolical plan to keep her from her true destiny.
June may have thought her life had become mad as a March hare, but little did she know, this was only beginning of a long and life-altering journey in Folklaria.
California archaeology student Chione has vivid dreams about the discovery of an opulent tomb. After the founder of the Institute of Archaeology learns that Chione’s dreams might be connected to events in Egypt, he accepts an offer to examine a mysterious site in Valley of the Queens.
After they discover an ancient burial site, spells encoded into the hieroglyphs on the tomb’s walls transport Chione and her former boyfriend, archaeologist Aaron Ashby, 3,500 years into the past: to ancient Egypt. There, they learn of Tutankhamon and Tauret, a priestess in Pharaoh's Court.
Meanwhile, the other team members are affected in unfathomable ways by the Ka: the spirit of the entombed. Chione and Aaron learn that Tauret plans to provide Tutankhamon with a living heir... and that they have been chosen to play a crucial part in completing their destiny.

Leaving the Arctic ice behind, Jean and the others must reconcile with both current and past deaths, as they close in on the Baltic home of the hated Duke Gorgon. Here, their enemies gather and confrontation is inevitable.
Under Merryweather’s frustrating tutelage, Jean marches from one infuriating revelation to another, but as the lies unravel and the truth unfurls, he discovers the Britannian is not the fool he’s taken him for. The enigmatic Merryweather appears the key to the greatest mystery of all. But will he ever show his true colors?
In the stunning climax to The Eternals Series, a brooding Jean must do what he’s never done before: place his trust in others. For only at the end of all things, as the sun dies and Shangri-La falls, will Jean know what it means to step Into Eternity
Meet Richard M. Ankers
Born and bred in rural Yorkshire, England, Richard squirreled his words away in shyness without showing them to anyone until plucking up the courage to place them online to be read and judged. Fortunately, that went better than he could ever have dreamed and hence decisions were made. Richard resigned his position as a Company Director and gave up everything he was to become the writer and person he wished to be. People have said it a brave decision but, in truth, it was the only decision he could ever have made. There would never be enough hours, minutes and seconds remaining in Richard’s lifetime to uncover all the words and worlds he had to unleash. Work began in earnest, and The Eternals came to life.
Three years in the making, The Eternals Trilogy was born from a vision of moonlight waltzes and a dying sun. Our distant future was to end and those who thought themselves immortal would be proved less so. This is the time and place that Jean is born to and wishes he wasn’t.
When Richard is not tapping out stories on his laptop, or adding poetry and writing to his own website, richardankers.com, which he nearly always is, you’ll find him running and taking in the scenery. Running has offered a sense of peace and relaxation only ever matched by writing. A lover of the great outdoors, he is lucky enough to have visited many of the world’s most beautiful countries such as Norway and Switzerland both of which he could happily have never left. If he could sit with a view of the mountains with a river flowing by and birdsong, a quite corner set aside in which to write with a view of the former, you’d probably never see Richard again.
